CrossRoads Wine & Spirits in Bryant has opened an online reservation page for “Bluegrass,” a Southern Collective single barrel built around age, proof and a rye-forward grain recipe.
The bottle is labeled as an eight-year Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, non-chill filtered and bottled at 131 proof. Its mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. CrossRoads also says customers can taste the whiskey at the store’s tasting bar before deciding whether to buy.
That combination puts Bluegrass squarely in enthusiast territory: mature enough to develop depth, high enough in rye to promise structure, and presented at a proof that leaves the final dilution decision in the drinker’s hands.

Southern Collective Spirit Company operates as an independent bottler and blender in Nashville. Its role is to find, evaluate and present sourced whiskey—including retailer-specific single barrels—rather than imply that every whiskey was distilled under its own roof.
Ryan Teague, publicly identified as Southern Collective’s master blender and sourcing director, is connected with the Bluegrass release. That sourcing context matters: the producer named on the front of a sourced-whiskey bottle and the distillery that made the liquid are not necessarily the same company.

What does the 75/21/4 mash bill tell us?
