The Bourbon Club of Arkansas (BCA) has officially announced its next highly anticipated barrel selection—and this one arrives straight outta Bardstown.

Selected at the distillery in May by members of the BCA tasting team and special guests, this Bardstown Bourbon Company Single Barrel marks one of the first Bardstown single barrel picks ever released in the state of Arkansas. Bottled at barrel strength and aged 6 years, the pick delivers a bold, modern Kentucky profile that immediately stood out during selection.

This release will be distributed through Ace Liquor Center, continuing the long-standing partnership between BCA and one of Central Arkansas’ most active barrel pick destinations.

Tasting Profile

Described by the selection team as a “caramel and vanilla monster,” this barrel showcases impressive depth for its age:

  • Nose: Vanilla, dark fruits
  • Palate: Toasted pine nuts, spice, rich caramel sweetness
  • Finish: Peppery, lingering, and assertive

Despite its youth, the bourbon delivers a bold and prominent flavor profile, proving that age is only one part of the equation when it comes to barrel quality.

From the Selection Team

The creative energy behind this pick extended beyond the whiskey itself. Inspired by the barrel’s personality, the team introduced a custom sticker concept that leaned into classic hip-hop culture—earning the pick its unofficial nickname and setting the tone for what many members expect to be a standout 2025 release.

As one member of the tasting team put it, this barrel was hand-picked, unapologetic, and designed to hit hard from the first pour to the last sip.

About Bardstown Bourbon Company

Founded in 2014, Bardstown Bourbon Company has quickly become one of the most influential modern distilleries in Kentucky. Often described as a “distillery for distillers,” Bardstown blends traditional bourbon craftsmanship with cutting-edge transparency, contract distillation, and collaborative barrel programs.

The company is known for its precise mash bills, controlled fermentation, and a philosophy that emphasizes flavor-forward whiskey over age statements alone. Their single barrel program has earned national recognition for producing expressive, well-structured bourbons that appeal equally to enthusiasts and casual drinkers.

This BCA pick is a strong example of why Bardstown continues to command attention across the bourbon world.
