Barrel No. 231058 | 107 Proof | Finished in Ruby Port Wine Casks
107 Liquor has unveiled its latest single barrel release — a custom-selected Angel’s Envy bottled at 107 proof, representing one of the final runs of the brand’s original bottle design before it transitions to a new look in 2025. For collectors, this is a special opportunity to grab a piece of the brand’s visual history, and if available, the bottle even comes with its signature Angel Wings display — a fitting tribute to the name and spirit behind it.
Angel’s Envy was born from the vision of Lincoln Henderson, a legendary figure in American whiskey. After a storied 40-year career with Brown-Forman, Henderson retired as Master Distiller, having helped create some of the most iconic labels in the industry — including Woodford Reserve, Gentleman Jack, and Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel.
Rather than rest on his accolades, Lincoln “went rogue,” deciding to craft a whiskey entirely on his own terms. In doing so, he blended centuries of bourbon tradition with the Old World artistry of port wine finishing, resulting in what he called “a whiskey of incomparable smoothness.”
The brand’s name draws inspiration from the “angel’s share” — the portion of whiskey lost to evaporation during aging. After sampling his bourbon finished in port wine casks, Henderson famously remarked that the angels had already taken their share… and now he wanted the envy.
What began as a small, family-driven project has grown into one of the most respected names in modern bourbon. Today, Lincoln’s son Wes Henderson continues to guide the company, upholding his father’s commitment to craftsmanship while introducing new innovations and special releases.
Angel’s Envy has become synonymous with port-finished bourbon, elegant packaging, and a refined, dessert-like flavor profile marked by notes of ripe fruit, vanilla, and subtle oak spice.
In 2020, the brand expanded its artistry through a Single Barrel Selection Program, allowing retail partners and whiskey clubs to hand-select their own port-finished barrels. 107 Liquor’s Barrel No. 231058 is one of those rare expressions — a Kentucky straight bourbon aged between 4 and 6 years, then finished in ruby port wine casks, creating layers of sweetness and depth unique to its cask.
This 107-proof bottling marks a transitional moment for Angel’s Envy collectors. The release arrives in the iconic, curved glass bottle that helped define the brand’s aesthetic for over a decade — a design that will soon be phased out in favor of a refreshed, modernized style.
For many fans, this makes 107 Liquor’s barrel one of the last chances to own the original Angel’s Envy bottle, complete with its familiar shape and optional Angel Wings display, if available in-store.

This 107 Liquor Single Barrel of Angel’s Envy represents one of the final bottlings using the brand’s original bottle design, which debuted in 2011.
Beginning in 2025, Angel’s Envy will transition to a new, modernized bottle shape — making these last “old-style” bottles increasingly collectible.
If you’re lucky, this release also includes a pair of detachable Angel Wings, designed to display beautifully behind the bottle — a fan-favorite addition that has become symbolic of the brand’s identity.
Collectors and enthusiasts alike may see this as both a toast to tradition and a farewell to one of bourbon’s most recognizable silhouettes.
