The Prideful Goas: Exclusive Arkansas Whiskey Release

The Prideful Goats single barrel pick has arrived at CrossRoads Wine & Spirits in Arkansas! This exclusive release comes straight from Texas to celebrate a true community effort and an incredible whiskey story.

From Houston to Arkansas: The Story Behind the Pick

Back in June, 22 members of the Central Arkansas Bourbon Boys (CABB) made the trip to Giant Texas Distillers in Houston for a special barrel-picking experience. There, they met with Randall “Randy” Sullivan, one of the owners of The Prideful Goat whiskey brand, founder of Bourbon Real Talk, and host of the popular Bourbon Real Talk YouTube channel.

Randy’s deep whiskey knowledge and approachable passion have made him a respected voice in the bourbon community. It was during a previous trip to Texas that local enthusiast Jeremy D. Bookout shared a 12-year rye from The Prideful Goat — a pour that immediately stood out for its complexity, value, and flavor. That taste sparked the mission to bring this special whiskey home to Arkansas.

An Exclusive First for Arkansas

Thanks to Brad Haviland and Tasha Salyers at CrossRoads Wine & Spirits, CABB members were able to turn that dream into reality. Together, they selected what’s believed to be one of the best-value 12-year ryes on the market — and the very first single-barrel pick ever released under The Prideful Goat name.

That’s right — this is the debut single-barrel experience for the brand, and Arkansas gets it first.

About the Whiskey

This 12-year expression is a truly unique rye. It began as a 7-year Canadian rye, then was brought to Texas and aged an additional five years in a Giant Texas bourbon barrel. Bottled at cask strength (123.08 proof) — significantly higher than the usual 100-proof Prideful Goat rye — it offers a bold yet balanced flavor profile that captures the essence of both its northern roots and Texas finish.

Only 180 bottles are available, priced at $69.99 each, with no purchase limit.
