In a Facebook post shared with the BBT community, Alan announced the kickoff of an upcoming Muscular Dystrophy Association of Arkansas (MDA) charity event<\/strong>, set to begin that Sunday. While full details were still under wraps, the post included a sneak peek of the bottle<\/strong> that would anchor the event, immediately building excitement among members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c@everyone, get ready for this Sunday \ud83d\ude0e we will start our Muscular Dystrophy Association of Arkansas event! More details to come this weekend, but here is a sneak peek at the beauty!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will have a list posted Sunday with names of those who are automatically in for one of these bad boys due to the Rocktown event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

@everyone<\/strong> Here it is! Our second private pick was done last Friday with Starlight Distillery<\/strong>, and I must say it was the coolest private barrel pick I\u2019ve ever done. Starlight really went all out to make you feel part of their family \u2014 from the tour of their farm to the tasting experience and wonderful lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m excited to let everyone know we picked a FIRST EVER barrel<\/strong> from them. After tasting 6\u20138 different barrel finishes<\/strong>, we selected their first-ever Trinidad Rum Finished Barrel \ud83d\udd25<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special thanks to Brent Cancienne, Parwinder Singh, Jason Tindle, and Brian Vance from Evan Williams<\/strong> for helping select our barrel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tasting Notes:<\/strong>
Age:<\/strong> 4\u00bd-year bourbon whiskey, finished an additional 5 months in a Trinidad Rum barrel \ud83c\uddf9\ud83c\uddf9
Proof:<\/strong> 110\u2013114 (final proof to be determined at barrel dump)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nose:<\/strong> Brown sugar, oak, black licorice, banana nut bread, caramel
Palate:<\/strong> Creamy, fruit-forward mouthfeel with cherry, banana, oatmeal cr\u00e8me pie, brown sugar
Finish:<\/strong> Smooth and creamy with slight heat, a lingering finish that gives your chest a warm hug<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe this barrel will appeal to both high-proof drinkers and those who like a more approachable pour \ud83e\udd43<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your donation will help the summer youth program of the Arkansas Muscular Dystrophy Association<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be 60 \ud83c\udf7c up for grabs<\/strong>. If you comment \u201cIn\u201d<\/strong> you will be obligated to donate 80<\/strong> towards the cause before receiving the \ud83c\udf7c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO GET ONE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Comment \u201cIn\u201d<\/strong> below (first 60 will be guaranteed a Starlight \ud83c\udf7c). Everyone else will be backup, going straight down the \u201cIn\u201d list as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Within the next week you will receive a Facebook message on where to make your donation, if you are one of the first 60.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You will have 7 days to donate<\/strong>, and then the \ud83c\udf7c will be distributed right after the Holidays<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
